Roedd yr ail hanner yn fwy unochrog o lawer o blaid Bethesda gyda’r tïm cartref yn sgorio 4 cais a Rhuthun yn ychwanegu tri phwynt yn unig o gic cosb. On a cold but crisp afternoon Ruthin put in one of their bravest performances of the season at Bethesda. Shorn of no fewer than 14 first team regulars due to unavailability and illness Ruthin called on the experience of 40 plus year olds Grant Mann, Steffan Tudor, Olly Gray and Gareth Edwards to bolster the ranks. At the opposite end of the scale 18 year old prop Harri Jones played his first senior game and put in an encouraging performance. In the game itself Ruthin started brightly moving into an early 6-0 lead with two Callum Bennett penalties. As the half wore on the Bethesda forwards started to take control and scored the first of their six unconverted tries from a driving maul. Their second try came from a pushover try with Ruthin down to 14 following the sin binning of Gethin Hughes leaving the score at 10-6. Ruthin thou continued to create openings and following two more Callum Bennett penalties moved into the lead 12-10 at half time. The second half was a much different game with Bethesda on top for the majority of the half. They scored a further 4 tries with Ruthins only response a further penalty from Callum Bennett giving a final score of 30-15. Ruthin will need to bounce back quickly for Saturday's local derby at home to Denbigh Kick off 14:30
